The gentleman in red at the piano plays every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'd just tipped him $5 and he was playing Hoagie Carmichael's Stardust for me. He's got a nice touch on the keyboard, and I love that he plays standards. Nice to hear such a thing.

The Mother-In-Law's Tongue plant in my office is blooming, and it's had these

large droplets of nectar suspended on the stem for days and days now. They look like crystal.

This photo was taken in December of the fruit lingering on a tree down the alley from my house. I think it was some kind of pear or persimmon, but I don't know. The fruit was intensely red and plump, and it was beautiful against the backdrop of the blue sky.

After nearly a month out of work and immobile with pneumonia, I was at last able to get out with my camera and take some new photos this weekend. This was a traveling carnival that was set up at Valley View Mall. My photos for the next two weeks will probably come from this set of photos. Some I snapped in B&W, and some in color. Both look good to me. It's good to be back.
